The aviator scarf and fashion! Those men who love to stay on trend and at the forefront of fashion will love the latest hot accessory: the aviator scarf. This is a piece that can be considered rather vintage, as it originated years ago with the pilots for whom it is named.
While this mens fashion accessory has resurfaced and regained popularity, it is really in an entirely new form. The old aviator scarves were almost entirely about function. They were created from two types of material: wool on one side and silk on the other, and they were also nearly six feet in length. These were used for a number of functional purposes on a daily basis by aviators. They used the scarf to keep their neck from becoming chaffed and rubbed by the leather top of their jumpsuit. And they also often used the ends of the scarf to clean their goggles.
While todays aviator scarfs are designed from these pilots scarves, they are quite significantly different. They are much smaller and entirely of silk in most cases. These new types are almost entirely all about fashion. And they are quite hot.
These items make the perfect gift for the fashion forward guy. It is designed to be draped about the neck in a sophisticated and trendy style. However, while white might be the most popular, there are still a lot of different colors and patterns to choose from. A man can really use these accessories to express his personal style and tastes.
