Where can I find an online guide for basic fashion design?
I want to be a fashion designer but I’m only 14 and I’m graduating student from High School so it’s kinda hectic for me to be taking workshops and classes. But I’m usually on the net and, I can’t actually find a website where there would be tips for a beginner in fashion design.
Care to help me?

Learning how to design clothes to be a fashion designer.?
Ok well I really want to make my own clothes. So whats a way to get a sowing machine free or something sent to me and a guide or whatever on learning how to make clothes, pillows, etc. please answer the question I really want to know how i can do this. I want to be a fashion designer.

New trends and styles for menâs clothing and accessories are often influenced and preceded by womenâs fashion. If floralâs are on the cards for spring 2009 then similarly youâll see watered down versions in suits through to silk ties.
It might sound ridiculous, but, it has been so for centuries.
Louis Patou a Paris fashion designer made silk ties from womenâs dress material, hence the advent of the designer tie.
So the concept is nothing new. The fact is womenâs fashion is specifically designed to attract man.
And so naturally including a smidgeon of femininity into menâs accessories, silk ties in particular, makes perfect sense. The other thing is, youâd be surprised at the number of females that design menâs clothing.
It is our good fortune that they do, otherwise weâd end up with nothing other than grey suits, striped ties and tattered old wallets.
Iâve seen the spring summer 2009 silk tie collection, they are drab and colourless, a series of stripes and geometric patterns, no floralâs at all, which, after seeing what women plan to wear is in contrast to logic.
How much longer do we have to be confined to conservative shades of grey?
Well, luckily there are changes afoot and if youâre prepared to look hard enough will be rewarded. There are designers out there who accurately forecast future trends and theyâre the ones to watch as they buck the critics view.
The women fashion designers I know of and or associated with all share common traits, the way they incorporate colour and pattern cannot be mimicked by man. And thatâs where the great appeal is, itâs the scent of a women in the designs they create.
Rather than follow mainstream, weâve created our own regime with a small cluster of male and female designers. People may ask, whatâs so special about that? Well thereâs only one way to find out.

Kilgour also incorporates the famed hunt tailoring specialist Bernard Weatherill. Nutters of Savile Row continues with Sexton, Roy Chittleborough and Joseph Morgan.Maurice Sedwell hires Trinidad-born Andrew Ramroop who will go on to become Managing Director and a Professor of tailoring at the London College of Fashion.

Hey! I Need Help, I’m Starting A New Company. I Need A Good Name… It’s A Fashion Design Company. Help Me….
Here’s my the concept of my business. I will be providing low cost designs, sketches basically with technical drawings. What are technical drawings you say??? These are drawings that you seamstress or tailor can easily undestand. I wont be sewing the clothes my self. i would only handle the designs. I will be generating a list of tailors in the local area and point my customers to them. I would also be givng out advise on accesories and what goes well with the clothes. The transactions are basically done online. I need a name that also has an available domain. Some of the names I like (e.g. fashionfactory, designfactory, fashionsketch, etc.) are alrady taken. I am thinking about “The Fashion Design Factory” but I think that may be too long….:(:( :)….So, please, ideas anyone? If one of you guys gives me a name I will be using, I wil give you 10 free designs. customized to ur specifications
