FUN FASHION GUIDE FOR LARGER WOMEN

Some of us larger sized lovelies are probably a little guilty of hiding under multi layers of big baggy clothing. This is really not a good idea. We should shed some of those layers, a really daunting experience for those of us who aren’t sizes 10 or 12 I know, but the time has now come to be brave and bring out the best of the beautiful, full figured woman that you are. We larger sized lovelies have just as much right to go out into the big wide world and strut our stuff as anyone else.

So if you are:

Apple shape

This means that you will have a bigger upper and mid section, so the best approach would be to bring more attention to the lower part of your body and to create longer lines. Empire style tops and dresses (which is a high waistline that is just under your boobs) would look great on you as would V-neck tops, but make sure that you steer well clear of halter necks and trousers or skirts that have puffy side pockets.

Or are you

Pear shape

Are you smaller on the top and wider at the bottom? Then this will be your shape. Bring attention to the upper part of your body by wearing some bold accessories such as a neck scarf, or necklace and earrings. Definitely stay away from all clothing that has bulky side pockets but off the shoulder and square neck tops will help you to create balance.

Or do you have an

Hourglass shape

Do you have a full bust, full hips and a small waistline. WOW. If your lucky enough to be blessed with this Marilyn Monroe type of figure, who by the way at some point of her life was a size 16, then the wrap style top or dress would look fantastic on you as they will accentuate the waistline. Fitted tops that go in at the waist are very good as are low waisted trousers with a slight flare at the bottom to create balance. Avoid overstated tops and blouses with ruffles and the importance of a well fitted bra can never be over emphasized.

So there you have it. Go and play dress up, find the big beautiful woman that you are, AND FLAUNT HER.
